What will I learn in our Beginners and Fundamentals classes?
If you are new to martial arts and kickboxing then these are the classes you should start with!
In these classes you will learn the fundamental throws, kicking and striking techniques of our unique style of kickboxing. These classes are perfect for beginners and we will work with you at your pace to help you develop your kickboxing skills.
Intermediate classes
What will you learn in our intermediate classes?
Once you develop your basic kickboxing skills in our beginners kickboxing classes, you will have the opportunity to move up to our intermediate classes.
These classes are designed for those looking to take their kickboxing skills to the next level and for those who are looking to apply their kickboxing skills in combat.
Our intermediate kickboxing classes are also great for those who already have martial arts experience and are looking to add new skills to their game.
Junior Classes
What will you learn in our Junior classes?
A Sanda kickboxing class for young teenagers and pre-teens is a dynamic and engaging experience. The class focuses on providing a solid foundation in martial arts while tailoring the instruction to suit their unique learning needs. The core framework of Sanda kickboxing, including striking techniques, kicks, and defensive manoeuvres, is introduced in a structured and progressive manner. Our knowledgeable instructors play a vital role in guiding and motivating young students, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and support.
Childrens Classes
What will you learn in our Childrens classes?
In our Chidrens’s classes we offer a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on various aspects of martial arts training. Each session begins with a warm-up, which includes stretching exercises and cardiovascular activities to prepare the body for physical exertion. Children then learn the fundamental movements of Sanda Kickboxing, including stances, strikes, kicks, and blocks. These basic techniques serve as the building blocks for more advanced skills. As students progress, they are taught how to apply these movements in partner drills, where they learn coordination, timing, and control. Additionally, sparring sessions are incorporated to provide a practical application of their skills, enabling them to develop speed, agility, and strategy.
Personal Training sessions
Personal training sessions at Sanda Kickboxing Academy are an excellent way to engage with one of our expert coaches in a focused 1 to 1 setting. Whether you are aiming to get fitter, become stronger, or learn a new skill in the martial arts, our dedicated coaches will work closely with you every step of the way to help you achieve your personal physical and kickboxing goals effectively.
Self defence Classes
What will you learn in our Self Defence Classes?
Join our Self-Defence and Martial Arts Fundamentals classes led by Coach Kitty, a certified Combat Coach through the World Combat Association. Trained by esteemed experts Iain Abernethy and Peter Consterdine, Coach Kitty brings top-notch self-protection instruction to our sessions.
Our classes welcome men and women of all skill levels, whether you have prior martial arts experience or are completely new to it. Everyone is encouraged to join!
Tai Chi Classes
Tai Chi is a fantastic practice for enhancing mental focus and calming the nervous system. Our Suang Yang pattern, with its low-impact nature, offers a gentle yet dynamic way to stretch, strengthen, and bring about a sense of calm.
Regular practice of Tai Chi's slow, flowing movements can effectively reduce stress, enhance posture, improve balance and mobility, while also increasing leg muscle strength.
