What will I learn in our Beginners and Fundamentals classes?
In our intermediate classes, you will build on the skills learned in beginner kickboxing. You will learn advanced throws, improve your technique, grasp strategies, and practice sparring with an opponent. These classes help you understand and develop your own kickboxing style and are great for those looking to compete in kickboxing.
You will learn these techniques through a combination of pad work, partner drills, shadow boxing and sparring drills. All classes start with a warm-up that is designed to prepare your body for the dynamic movements characteristic of the more advanced kickboxing movements. Following the warm-up, we will lead you through a variety of advanced Sanda kickboxing techniques, ensuring a solid understanding of each. Finally, we will conclude the class with a proper cool-down to aid in recovery and relaxation.
Do I need any previous kickboxing experience to attend these classes?
Yes! You can either join these classes by being promoted from our beginners kickboxing class or if you have previous experience in combat sports that involve both striking and wrestling. If you are not sure if these classes are for you then the best thing to do is to come to one of our beginners kickboxing classes and we can have a chat in class.
