What is Sanda?
Sanda Kickboxing a martial art that effectively combines modern kickboxing with stand up throws and wrestling techniques. It is a very unique style of kickboxing as it is the only style of kickboxing which seamlessly combines these two disciplines.
What will I learn in our Beginners and Fundamentals classes?
These are great classes to learn the basics of kickboxing. In these classes you will learn how to defend and execute basic kickboxing techniques such as; roundhouse kicks, sidekicks, jab, cross etc. You will also learn the skills unique to Sanda kickboxing such as how to perform basic wrestling and throwing techniques and how to merge striking and wrestling skills. This will also include instruction on how to fall properly and safely so you do not hurt yourself or others.
You will learn these techniques through pad work, partner drills and shadow boxing. All classes begin with an extensive warm up to get you ready for the dynamic movements of kickboxing, we will then lead you through various Sanda kickboxing techniques before cooling down to finish the beginners class.
Do I need any previous kickboxing experience to attend these classes?
No previous experience is required to attend the beginners kickboxing class. This class is specifically designed for beginners with no prior experience in Sanda kickboxing. That said as you progress in your kickboxing journey we will give you the tools you need to be able to move up to our intermediate and sparring classes.
How do I join up?
